A Song For Ruth

The mini-documentary “A Song For Ruth” conveys how the late US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg inspired new music by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich and award-winning poet/librettist Lauren K. Watel. Dallas native Watel wrote the libretto for Zwilich‘s music that will have its world premiere with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
The featured soloists performing with the DSO are GRAMMY® Award-winning mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves and Steinway Artist® pianist Jeffrey Biegel. Mr. Biegel will be performing his own composition "Reflection of Justice: An Ode to Ruth Bader Ginsburg" for piano and orchestra. The trailblazing Chicago Opera Theater Music Director Lidiya Yankovskaya will conduct the Dallas concert.
